In your second year or later of your degree and want to help fellow students with settling into university life? Keen to help raise awareness about university career strategies? Develop interpersonal and leaderships skills as a Peer Career Ambassador (PCA) by sharing your tips and experience on topics such as choosing your major, seeking work, and networking.

The QUT Student Success Group is currently seeking enthusiastic proactive students to join the Peer Career Ambassador (PCA) Program. You will need to: complete 4 hours of online training; be available to attend a briefing session in late November 2019; and be available for a full day of face-to-face training in February 2020; to prepare you to commence as a PCA in Semester 1, 2020. The role will involve 1-2 hours per week during semester, facilitating Career Chats in the library Learning Hub, and other PCA engagement activities.

We encourage applications from all course areas, and particularly Education, Health, Creative Industries, Law and Justice, IT, Science and Maths. We understand that success looks different for different people, and we encourage team members who have overcome obstacles. We welcome applications from students with diverse pathways into higher education.

The Peer Career Ambassador Program is a great opportunity to give back to your university; develop key skills to add to your resume, such as leadership, communication and teamwork; raise your awareness of career strategies; and assist your fellow students.

Applications close 11th October 2019
